Insurance & payment
We work with a range of insurance plans and offer flexible payment options. Share your plan details when you book and we’ll help you understand your coverage before treatment starts — no surprises on the bill.
Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
Smilo Family Dental is a participating CDCP provider in London, Ontario. If you’re covered, we bill the plan directly, so you won’t pay the full cost up front or chase reimbursement paperwork yourself. Depending on your income you may still have a co-payment — we’ll tell you exactly what you owe before we start.
You may qualify if your adjusted family net income is under $90,000, you and your spouse or partner have filed last year’s taxes as Canadian residents, and you have no access to private dental insurance — a rule that’s stricter than most people expect.

Nervous? You’re in good company
Many of our happiest patients arrived anxious. Tell us when you book — we’ll build in extra time, explain every step before it happens, and agree on a stop signal so you’re always in control. If local freezing alone isn’t enough, we offer sedation to help you stay relaxed; we’ll talk through what suits you first. And if you ever feel faint or lightheaded, we keep water and juice on hand — just say so.
Bringing kids?
Dr. Chopra is a general dentist with a special interest in treating children. First visits are gentle and positive — often just a ride in the chair and a count of teeth — so the dentist never becomes a scary place. We recommend a first visit between ages one and three. More on children’s dentistry.
